  • OutRun 2019's Soundtrack Gets a Timely REDUX

You know, one phenomenon we’re seeing more and more as the years roll by is that works of fiction that were previously set in the future are now taking place in today’s day and age. The best example I can think of for this is Back to the Future II, with the main characters travelling from 1985 to the then-future of 2015. Remember all the buzz back in 2015 when the Cubs almost broke the Curse of the Billy Goat and everyone was saying that Back to the Future predicted the future? Yeah, so much for that. • A familiar album by bleeckrs returns!

Editor’s Note: As part of our attempt to offer more diverse content, this time, we’re letting the artist behind today’s project tell their own story. I’ve told this story before here on the blog, but during the Decemberfest livestream, I received a terrifying DM from an artist named Phoesics who was inquiring why their submission to the covers section wasn’t played on the stream. I began looking into the matter and discovered that there were indeed two submissions which had been filtered into the spam category of our email. Thanks to the quick thinking of the livestream team (thanks again guys), we were able… …

This week, I have a special article for you, as I have a co-writer, Quirby64 , who came aboard to provide some in-depth information about the soundtrack of an indie game she’s creating. Anyways, enough with introductions. Let’s get right into this week’s story. One of the hard things about game development is making the soundtrack work with the visual st…
